I've been pondering on exactly what is it all ablout... and went through the various search engines to get some of the followinig definitions. I found it to be really meaningful and helpful in IT service mgmt. It is a set of concepts and policies for managing information technology (IT) infrastructure, development and operations.

ITIL v3, published in May 2007, comprises five key volumes:

1. Service Strategy
2. Service Design
3. Service Transition
4. Service Operation
5. Continual Service Improvement.

Team Building...

Team building is a must, specially when you are providing service to your client as a team... 'WE' from Trimax have commenced a concept of training and weekly meetings... but dont really know how to describe the genesis of this. We discuss the points on relevant topics like on servers, networks, domains, etc... and where we often find problems in trouble-shooting. We exchange our ideas and knowledge.

Today we had a discussion on the configuration of Outlook Express, its common problems, and how to resolve the same.. We even had a talk on the "Difference between Win Server 2000 and Win Server 2K3". It was highly fruitful...
